The Silver Lining or The Gold Standard.
When it comes to accessories, jewelry has always been IT and ALL THAT. It’s the perfect enhancement to any outfit whether it be bracelets, rings, anklets, earrings ,waist chains, or various piercings look more put together. This guide is meant to give you some inspiration on how you want to adorn yourself and give your outfit that extra edge.

The Gold Standard.
Gold is universally flattering especially, the darker. your skin is. Gold also exudes a sense of pride when you wear it. I personally like gold because not only because its universally flattering, but because it goes with every outfit. When I wear my gold necklaces, rings, and the various pieces that I adorn my body with always makes me feel super confidence. Gold exudes confidence and pride and effortlessly ties my outfit together making me feel golden myself.
The Silverline Is So Sublime.
To me silver is golds cooler cousin. You don’t always wear silver but when you do you its-meant to stand out… and so are you.Its meant to make you feel sterling which is what it does effortlessly. Especially if you have an outfit where Silver will take it to the next level, wear it. Silver is just like diamonds you don’t always wear it but when it makes an appearance it definitely will be hard to miss it. I personally don’t wear a lot of. silver because it washes out my skin, but when I need to make. a fashion forward point Silver will definitely get me to where I’m going.
Side-note: I briefly mentioned diamonds but that deserves a post of its own so it will not be covered in this guide.
Heavy Metal and Reflective.
A lot of industrial accessories have been very on trend for the last couple years. Locks yes literal locks to lock things away worn as belts with chains, clasps, dog tags and chains, can make any outfit pop. I personally like this because it gives it up like heavy metal. I also like how these industrial options not only come in. silver but also come in a golden selection as well.
Dipped in Gold.
Gold always looks good, especially gripped around your neck. Whether you like chokers, name-plate necklaces, cuban link or rope chains a gold necklace can really take you from a 5 to 10 immediately. Plus “real” gold will never rust on you and you can wear it with any outfit, unlike silver which is something you have to plan your whole outfit around a gold necklace or chain is the way to go. I got mine from the Slauson Swap Meet and looks good with everything that I wear.*Be sure to vet where you get your gold from because some places don’t disclose that their really good fakes, just be careful!*
Accessories to Please !
It’s the Bracelets For Me.
Whether you like bangles, charms, or spikes bracelets are a great way to let your wrist floss a lil bit. I genuinely feel that gold bracelets go well with everything but if your going for silver, would suggest your outfit would be cool toned. Silver also looks exceptionally sophisticated with the color black, so if you want to I believe you should try it.
Earrings The Thang.
Hoops, studs, diamonds or cubic zirconia earrings are the way to go. in my opinion I feel that there is a lot of leeway to actually mix and match your jewelry. I have a mixture of silver studs and golden mini bamboo hoops in my ear, that look really good together. I feel the emphasis on gold or silver when it comes to earrings that will really make or break you, its definitely the piercing placement, the size, the earrings, style and aesthetic of the earrings that really matter. Is It For Real ?
Don’t forget businesses are shady and sell really nice fakes, so do your do diligence.Also fake jewelry can turn your neck green, rust or turn various shades of bronze so in order to avoid this get your silver and gold appraised just like you would a diamond. Never stop investigating if the quality of your product is real by doing the research, and buying the best, because it’s what you deserve. The best.
So Fresh and So Clean Clean!
I cannot stress this enough, please clean your jewelry. Please abeg !Invest in some alcohol cleaning wipes or jewelry cleaner, cleansers and buffers in order and make sure your jewelry isn’t collecting dust, dirt, mold, mildew, filth and grime. Hygiene is is non-negotiable and same goes for your jewelry. You don’t want your skin to break out and turn various colors of the rainbow due to hygiene negligence do you? I thought so.

When it comes to the cost of jewelry, you get what you pay for. So in order to accrue and accumulate quality pieces you have to quality money… that you’ve stacked for the occasion.Investing your jewelry is also the best way to start off a jewelry collection of quality pieces that you’ll have for a long time, that will only dust and not rust. We all deserve quality pieces of jewelry and. before someone else gives it to us we should definitely start with ourselves.
