In a lane of their own just like myself.

Surra De Bunda

Regarding Black cultural and archival content, @ surra_de_bunda_ aka Selina has always been ahead of the curve amassing over 50k+ followers on all of her social media platforms. From Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram, she is definitely someone to watch out for when it comes to anything that involves niche Black popular culture. She is solely responsible for the resurgence in the interests of 90s raptress Foxy Brown. Her content is built off exclusive headstock images, articles, advertisements, and her aesthetic has been copied and pasted by everyone’s faves, including mine and yours. Her influence is real and cannot be denied or duplicated. She does it how she does it, and she is definitely one of one. Go follow her socials; I promise you won't regret it on Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr.

Nygel Sartorial

When it comes to Black fashion, archival content is especially forgotten, runways, photoshoots, promotional shoots, and urban advertisements. Nygel uploads a lot of original scans, publications, and pictures from his own personal archive of images. Images are always quality and are part of the reason why I've been following him and his content for a very long time. Follow him on his Twitter and Instagram.

Aye aye, Captain… and NO you’re not her first mate!

Harriyanna Hook aka Miss Hook🪝

It's her pirate ship, and NO, you're not her first mate. I love how niche her content is; she covers the wholes that are children and family entertainment when it comes to quality entertainment for children and adults. She has been making waves on Tumblr and on YouTube with over 95k subs. She is only getting bigger. Not only that, but she's been making waves as a girl in the cartoon community that can be very misogynistic at times, but she's been holding her own out there. She pumps out exceptionally content on all platforms as well as being a business owner. For anyone that loves niche content about children and family entertainment checks her out, you won't regret it… trust me. Follow her @ Youtube, Instagram, Campsite!

Shy Smith

Shy2k or Y2k? It girl is an understatement of an Icon, and literal legend is way more fitting. Shy Smith is a girl who has set herself up for having the reigning title as not only Y2K queen but early 2010s baddie. Through authentically exploring and reinterpreting any decade she wants, she's been doing it her way, with an enigmatic and magnetic personality; no wonder she's become such a staple in the niche micro celeb community. Not only that, but she is solely responsible for the resurgence of Jennifer's Body and Megan Fox's adoration through her love for creative cosplays, photoshoots, and content creation. Even though she gets mistaken for mini Megan Fox, she definitely has the makings of being an Icon and pop-cultural staple just like Megan Fox herself. Go follow her. She's more than the moment. She's a staple @notshysmith, Shy's Twitter.

For the weeks of March 13th- 31st.

FleshandFreedom

Gabriel Bronx aka Flesh and freedom on Instagram, creates, curates, and demonstrates her interest in holistic healing and dissecting the dichotomy in everyday interactions between race gender, sexuality, spirituality, and mysticism. On top of that, she is exploring different ways to promote beauty, health, and wealth through a holistic approach. She is a published writer and has been mentored by prestigious people that have studied under James Baldwin himself. She is more than interesting and one of one and deserves to be on this page because she’s truly in a lane of her own. She is of her own flesh and is deconstructing reality to be her vision of what she wants for herself. Her Instagram, Youtube, and TikTok at fleshandfreedom check her out.

Comic95

Comic95 also known as Rin is a Youtuber and model in Japan who speaks about her experiences through a relentlessly unapologetic lens. She keeps it very real when it comes to speaking about how foreigners are perceived in Japan and highlights how everything that glitters isn’t always gold. She really does help give a realistic view of living in the country as a foreigner on a variety of topics such as dating, work, and everyday life. She uses her experiences as well as personal anecdotes to convey how everything isn’t what it seems but also holds the viewer accountable for their own dreams and goals. On top of advice, she has tons of videos and tips on how to prepare to make your move to Japan. She doesn’t hold her tongue and has no shame in what’s she’s said or done in the past or present. Her authenticity is what makes her so appealing. If you’re Black and want to move to Japan I would highly suggest watching most of her videos. Her socials are Comic95 on Instagram, Patreon, Youtube all her content is worth the watch.

Raffik Lopes

Raffik Lopes is super creative and innovative when it comes to branding his brand never bored which I have a lot of stuff from. It’s hard to find original and unique brands that have their own unique brand identity as well as products that match the quality. I’ve gotten beanies, keychains, and stickers from his brand Never bored. Even though the brand is relatively small he has the makings of a Bape, Nigo, or an upscale Americana type brand that sells a variety of limited-edition goods for a limited run. Everything is always fresh, always unique, always limited….and always SOLD OUT. His brand is something BIG in the making and I’m glad I can witness it firsthand. *Insert his social media and website*. Also, I wear his beanie from his brand and I’m always washing it because I wear it that frequently. His Instagram is @raffiklopes and his shop is shopneverbored.com. You’ll thank me later.

Babyphat05

Babyphat05 also known as Shessobougie has been at the forefront of the resurgence of femininity, video vixens, Kimora Lee Simmons, and being authentic on Tumblr. Known for her originality as well as her guides that help people get acquainted with raising their standards for themselves and their life. She always stresses that there is no one way to be feminine in a world where there are so many femininity coaches trying to teach women femininity that centers on men, she stresses centering on yourself. Putting yourself on the pedestal and not being afraid to cut people out that don’t matter or contribute to your growth and wellness. Her blog and internet presence on Tumblr has bled over to Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and various other social media. Her impact is undeniable, and she touches so many people through her advice, carefully curated aesthetic, and website. Truly a force to be reckoned with and just like Kimora Lee Simmons she has all the makings of a MOGUL. Her Instagram is @shesobougie, Tumblr @Babypha05, Patereon @shessobougie, Twitter @shessobougie and website is sheissobougie.com. If you like content that’s stands in its authenticity as much you do; then you’ll love everything she touches.
