Dainty and Small Thats Cute and All.

Thick lines, thin lines, big, medium, or small, when it comes to getting tattoos, get something that represents you. When it comes to me, my tattoos are dainty and feminine; even though Iā€™m a guy, itā€™s what I feel goes with my personal aesthetic and what represents me, which is why I got them. Also, Small, miniature, and dainty tattoos have become very popular over recent years. Because the tattoo is small or discrete, it is almost impossible to find a bad placement to put it.

Wear your heart on your Sleeve, or make it part of a full Sleeve

Not gonna lie; a sleeve is a really great way to make yourself stand out. Your tattoo can have meaning to it can just be something you want to get because you enjoyed it. Just know what you want to get, and please do your thorough research on your tattoo artist. The last thing you want to do is get something that you regret and canā€™t laser and have to live with forever. A tattoo sleeve really is what you make it, so why not make it unique and tailor it to you. Some examples of sleeves are below for some tattoo inspiration.

Back Piece, Chest
Piece, Your Piece, Your Peace.

Iā€™ve seen an influx of beautiful and intricate pieces on the chest, back, legs, and other major body parts that look really good. When looking to get a chest, back, or leg-piece, other than doing your research and searching for an artist that not only has good work but is competent in working with all skin tones, especially if your skin is deeper in complexion. I would only say the only downside to getting a huge piece is the pain. For me personally, I could barely take the paint of a small, thin-lined tattoo, so a back or chest-piece for me would be out the question. These pieces are investments, so please do your due diligence and do your research.

ā€œYou can get something thatā€™s meaningful, or get something that you find visually scintillating. Whatever it is, just make sure itā€™s something thatā€™s you!ā€

Itā€™s Your Face make sure it looks First Place.

Now I would advise if you get a face tattoo, please make sure you have a stable income. Even though the world is becoming a different place than yesterday, prejudices against people with face tattoos are still prevalent, especially in corporate America, just something to consider before you get one. Now that we have our basics covered, face tats, just like other tattoos, are about location, location, location, and location. Places that I think make face tattoos look really nice for men; along the hairline, jawline, side outer eye corner, and cheekbone. For women, I personally like the outer eye corner and the part of your sideburns where your hair grows towards the back of your neck and the upper neck area. You do not have to go by what I. prescribed; these are just what I find aesthetically pleasing. Itā€™s your face, so it is completely up to you.

Please Do Your Research ! I Beg of You. Sincerely A Beggar.

If youā€™re going to get any script, katakana, hiragana, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or any other foreign character on you that is not your first or second language, please do your research. You donā€™t want to walk around with anything that would offend the said groupā€™s culture that you have got tattooed. Not only that you donā€™t want them to laugh at you because you thought you got love tattooed on you, but what it really translates to is an idiot. You can save yourself all the embarrassment if you do your due diligence to ensure your tattoo not only comes out looking nice but comes out meaning what you actually want it to say.

Itā€™s All About Me !

At the end of the day, your tattoo is all about you. Whatever it doesnā€™t matter what tattoos you get as long as your happy and proud of the art you got put on your body. Donā€™t let anyone make you feel wrong or shameful about the art you put on your body; that makes you stand out from the crowd. Because in reality, they probably want a tattoo tooā€¦and just afraid of what people might think of them.

I hope this guide helped you with inspiration, preparation, research, tattoo placements or helped ease any overarching anxiety when it comes to the preparation process of getting a tattoo.
