Today’s Forecast: A Chance Of Clear Skin

This is just me sharing what I use on my skin personally and what I use daily to keep my skin clean, clear, and under control.

I have normal to extra dry skin; I do not have cystic, mild, minor acne-prone skin and never have. I do break out once in a while. But it’s normally due to stress or poor eating habits.

What You Put In Must Come Out….Even On Your Face.

If you love your body, your body loves you back, and since your skin is your biggest organ who wouldn’t want to do that. When I say this I mean eating well fruits and vegetable wise and drinking tons of water. Processed sugars and heavy starches are known to cause breakouts due to excessive oil production. So I try to incorporate a lot of green and antioxidant fruits into my diet, I normally make green juice every other morning after I exercise and get my daily stretching and movements in. exercise is also good for clearing your skin especially from minor stress-related breakouts because your body is overall realizing all of those toxins from whatever bad food you ate. Switching up your diet also gives your complexion a very healthy glow as well.

Cleanse It, Cleanse Them, Cleanse Her, Clean Sir, Cleanser.

When it comes to cleansers, I always switch them around. I use this cleanser from my dermatologist, The Perfect Cleanser With Azelaic Acid & Antioxidants, but I use my trusty when that isn’t available Cetaphil. It is scent-free, irritation-free, pretty affordable, between 12-16 dollars on a good day, and gets the job done. I also exfoliate once or twice a week with an African netted face. Rag to get all those dead skin cells off my face and neck, as well as microfiber towels that won’t tear up my skin.

Dry Eyes, Dry Skin, Lets Moisturize.

When it comes to moisturizing my face, I regularly use something thick and heavy because my skin tends to get super dry no matter what the season is. My go-to faves that are pretty affordable would have to be the CeraVe triple ceramide moisturizer. I slather it all over, and it quenches the thirst me beyond parched skin has for moisturizer. My favorite moisturizer other than CeraVe would be Cocoa butter or any type of shea butter ( that is specified for facial use), of course.

Slip & Slide, Grip & Glide: We’re Talking Serums lol.

Since I currently can’t afford the toner I’ve been feening for, I skip that step altogether. So after I moisturize m,y skin, I put on serum, either niacinamide to minimize redness, hyaluronic acid to plump my skin, or vitamin C to brighten my skin. I usually rub them in with two fingers. I have bought it from glossier tbh I just got it for the packaging and the fact that it looks pretty in my see-thru skincare bag. Decorum has those same serums minus the extra packaging for a fraction of the price, and their products are quality as well.

Puttin In That Work: On Our Face Of Course

We go to the gym to work on our bodies, and the same goes for our faces. Those muscles need to be worked out as well. Lately, what’s been aiding in destressing as well as depuffing my face are my guasha tools. Guasha is an ancient Chinese practice that aids in the lymphatic draining of facial muscles, especially those on the front of your face, giving you an overall puffy appearance while simultaneously lifting it. I’ve been using my stainless steel roller & guasha from Sacheu beauty. It was a pretty penny on, but Amazon has many different guasha/jade rollers for very reasonable prices that do the same things and improve your skin.
